Plans for Retail Global 2019 are in the works, but dates have yet to be announced.
The 2018 Retail Global conference was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from October 9-11. This event allowed retailers to connect with hundreds of global online merchants from small businesses to large corporations. You will hear from more than 50 speakers over three days and have the opportunity to be a part of five optional conference workshops.
The conference itself entails workshops, keynotes, panel discussions, stream sessions, exhibition booths, and a fun and lively pool party where you can network with industry leaders. Plus, sponsors and exhibitors also have the opportunity to connect with eCommerce leads at the conference. List Genius is a great tool to take advantage of for preparation.
Keynote presentations for the 2019 conference have not been announced yet. Here’s a few of the speakers from the 2018 Retail Global conference:

If the venue for this year’s conference doesn’t appeal to you for lodging there are many other options on the Las Vegas Strip that are all less than 2 miles away and comparable in price. Here are the closest options:
The Bellagio (0.5 mi) – This resort and casino features the most-seen performer in Las Vegas – the Belagio Fountain. The resort is best known for its fine art and beautiful botanical garden.
The Mirage (1.4 mi) – Home of the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, you can see dolphins, white tigers, white lions, and leopards during your stay here.
Caesar’s Palace (1.0 mil) – Shop in the Forum Shops, eat in one of the many restaurants from fast food to fine dining, or see one of the biggest shows in Vegas at Caesar’s Palace.
Whether you’re looking for a place to grab a quick drink with a colleague, or an upscale dinner with new connections, you will be able to find somewhere close to go. Here are just a couple of places you might want to try:
The Pub ($$) – This pub at the Monte Carlo features over 100 beers from all over the world. If you are looking to unwind and relax, this is the place to do it.
Todd English’s Olives ($$$) – Mediterranean cuisine in a refined setting. This restaurant in the Bellagio is a great place to have dinner and wine following the conference.
CUT Las Vegas ($$$$) – This Wolfgang Puck steakhouse has been voted the Restaurant of the Year, and the Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas. It’s pricey, but it is fine dining at its best. If you plan to splurge or you win big while in Las Vegas, this restaurant, bar, and lounge is the perfect upscale spot to network or meet with your team.
The weather in mid-October in Las Vegas is slightly cooler and dry. There is very little chance of rain, and the typical high temperature is 82 degrees, while the average low is 54 degrees. Perfect weather to be out and about in Las Vegas.
The easiest way to get around Las Vegas Blvd., otherwise known as the Strip, is on foot. Most of the hotel-casinos are within walking distance of one another, and you can get to and from them quickly by walking. However, if you plan to visit many of the hotels and don’t want to wear out your feet, you may want to rent a car (there is free valet parking at all of the hotels), or take a taxi.
Las Vegas has a lot to see and do. There are shows, concerts, exhibits, shopping, and much more all within walking distance along the Strip. Whether you like to gamble or not, the casinos and resorts are sure to have something that interests you. If you want to get away from the Strip for a little while, here are some things you should take a look at:
The Adventuredome – This theme park is housed beneath a five-and-a-half-acre glass encasement, complete with thrill rides, games, and fun shows.
Fremont Street Experience – If you want to get away from the Strip, but still have a true Vegas experience, visit this pedestrian mall in downtown Las Vegas. There is shopping, gambling, and other attractions to enjoy.
Stratosphere Observation Deck – This 1,149-foot-tall Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the country. You can see all of Sin City from the indoor and outdoor observation decks.
The Mob Museum – See the history of organized crime in this interactive museum dedicated to the true crime stories of the Mob from its inception until now.
